2014-01-26 - Lancaster "Frostbite" Go Tournament

The Harrisburg Area Go Club is teaming up with the Lancaster Go Club to offer a Go tournament for central Pennsylvania players.

In case of snow or other inclement weather, please check this web page for late-hour cancellations or schedule changes (or call 717.892.1249 or 717.315.9097).

This tournament uses a custom "instant-pairing" format, which is designed to give you as many games as you can handle during the day. As soon as you finish a game, you will be paired with the first player who is available and close enough to your entry rank to give you a satisfactory match-up. We will attempt to give you pairings against as many different opponents as we can, and handicaps will be used to make sure every player gets a challenging, but not impossible, game. This is a good chance for newer players to get some good playing experience, and for more experienced players to keep their hands in.

NEW PLAYERS: There will be a special "small boards" mini-tournament side event starting at 1:30pm. If you're a newer player, and not ready for play on a full-sized board, consider joining us for the mini-tournament. The mini-tournament will run in parallel with the main event, and games played in the mini-tournament will not be rated.

Players with the most wins will receive special recognition. So come early and be prepared to play lots of games!

Your game results will be submitted to the AGA. These game results are used to compute your official AGA rating.
